Judicial College
The Judicial College is the judicial training institution for judges and other judicial office-holders.
The College supports induction and continuing education in judicial skills, ethics, procedure, evidence, safeguarding, digital evidence, vulnerable-person handling, reasons-writing, tribunal practice, open justice, anonymisation and case management.
Judicial training is institutionally distinct from Civil Service induction, police training, public-service recruitment training and education policy.
Training does not determine cases.
The Judicial College supports competence and consistency while preserving each judicial office-holder’s duty to decide the case before them independently according to law and evidence.
