The Judicial Office provides impartial institutional support to the independent Judiciary.
The Judicial Office supports judicial leadership, governance, appointments relationships, conduct administration where assigned, communications, publications, training and the institutional work of the courts and tribunals.
Who it supports
For judiciary-support purposes, the Judicial Office supports the Chief Justice and the Senior President of Tribunals. Its senior official is responsible for the administration of Judicial Office staff and services.
What it does not do
The Judicial Office does not decide cases, direct judges, set Government policy or operate as a Ministry of Justice directorate, moderation team, safeguarding casework body or administrative appeal panel.
